Have you ever had a "ugh!" feeling? I'd rather not touch my hair today," or experienced something similar? How would you style your hair on those types of days?
Today was no different from earlier days, however styling it was a bit more difficult because my hair was not braided. If you haven't noticed, the majority of those days you would wake up with my emotions all over the place, not knowing where to begin or even what to think.
Because such days are erratic, I developed a pattern for them that helps me get through my mornings before facing the day. I would want to explain the actions I take on my "hair blues days."
1. I read my Bible. I firmly believe that reading the Bible can provide clarity of mind. Not knowing what lies ahead of you in the day can add to your anxieties and cause you to start asking questions. As I read the Bible, I find the answers to those questions. As of today, I read Luke 11:9–13, which states:
9 “So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 10 For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.11 “Which of you fathers, if your son asks for[a] a fish, will give him a snake instead? 12 Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? 13 If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”
I needed clarity and answers to my questions since I was feeling disoriented. After reading these Bible verses, I felt ready to let go and just move on with my day-to-day plan.
2. Make my bed. I think that having your bed made is a little relieving, and I also think that a clean environment corresponds to a clear mind.
3. Assemble my clothes, when it comes to dressing, I would try to keep things simple. A black pair of pants and a T-shirt would work well; once again, dress simply in accordance with your personal style.
4. Finish getting ready, brush my teeth, and take a bath while listening to my favorite music. Spoiler alert: "I am a huge fan of Twice, a well-known K-pop girl group."
5. When it comes to styling my hair, I like to keep it simple yet chic by creating a sleek and polished top knot. This versatile hairstyle is perfect for both casual and formal occasions, adding a touch of sophistication to any look. By twisting two sections of hair in the front, it gives a subtle and stylish detail that elevates the overall appearance. Trust me, this classic bun is a timeless choice that never fails to make a statement!
Now that you know how to do it, you too can get through a day when you're having awful hair days. If you were to follow my instructions to survive a horrible hair blues day.
